            Answers for Parents

By carefully selecting a quality child care or preschool program, you are choosing the type of program which is most likely to support your child's positive growth and development. Child Care Resource and Referral counselors can help you find a program to accommodate your family's needs and will also help you to determine if you are eligible for assistance in paying for child care.

CHILD CARE ASSOCIATION'S Resource and Referral Department maintains a complete and up to date database of Child Care Centers and Family Child Care Homes throughout Brevard County. In addition to the information available from our Resource and Referral counselors at our office locations in Norh, Central, and South Brevard County, we also have help available at the State of Florida job centers. Parents trying to locate Child Care Services in close proximity to their home can use a Child Care Association computer with a software Program called "Locate" installed. The parent types in their name and zip code and then answers a set of simple questions as to the type of  service desired. When this is done, the computer displays the names of the centers or homes that meet the desired specifications. This display can be printed out for ongoing reference.

This is of special value to a parent who has located work and wants to arrange for Child Care at the same time, a "One Stop" service. Each location that has one of these computers also has an on-site representative of Child Care Association of Brevard County available to help the parent in enrolling their child in one of the chosen centers.
