Mission Statement
To provide and coordinate comprehensive developmental child care and early childhood related services for children and their families by helping children achieve their full potential, preventing abuse and neglect, and helping their families achieve self-sufficiency.

From The Desk Of Barbara Moore, President/CEO

Dear Friends:

I believe in children. I believe each one deserves a chance to reach their full potential. I believe that every child deserves to be safe and well cared for, free from the terrifying effects of abuse and neglect. No child should feel alone, afraid, or abused.

I believe a successful family is part of a child's success. But it takes even more. I believe it takes a community that truly values children and families. It does take a village to raise a child.

In this, our 44rd year of serving children and families, the Child Care Association was able to provide high quality child care and early childhood related services to more than 10,000 children, and staff assisted more than 80,000 parents with child care information and referrals.

As we embark on the coming year, our vision is to take this concept of community to the next level and establish a Children's Village.  Imagine a place were every child is nurtured and loved. A place where families are celebrated, and parents find all the support they need to raise happy, healthy children.  A place where teachers, neighbors, relatives and friends congregate to share their knowledge, ideas and encouragement.

The Children's Village, located in the heart of Cocoa's Diamond Square Community, will be that place. The Children's Village will include comprehensive services for children, parents, child care providers and other community members.  Professionals in a variety of fields will be housed there to provide social, legal and health services. Foster care services, training and community organizations also will be housed there.

The Child Care Association will launch the Children's Village by first transforming the Monroe Center and revitalizing its historic role in serving children and youth.  The Children's Village will bring a new vitality to the Diamond Square Community and re-ignite an age old tradition of caring for children.  Our community's record of support for children and families ensures its success.

We are grateful to our Board Chairman and Board Members for their outstanding leadership and support, and my sincere appreciation to our staff for their dedication and commitment to our mission.  Special appreciation to all the agencies who provide funding for the services we provide to include the Board of County Commissioners, United Way of Brevard, Department of Health, and the the cities of Cocoa, Melbourne, Palm Bay and Titusville.

For the children,

Barbara Moore
President/CEO
